Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 09 Oct 2026 · PropAssist
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using the PropAssist platform. It applies to everyone in your organisation.
1. Your responsibilities
You must use PropAssist lawfully and only for legitimate property-management purposes. You are responsible for the conduct of your team, tenants and vendors within your organisation, and for complying with the laws that apply to you in your country.
2. Prohibited conduct
- Breaking the law, infringing others’ rights, or processing personal data without a lawful basis.
- Uploading malware, attempting to breach security, or accessing data outside your organisation.
- Reverse-engineering, scraping, overloading, or interfering with the service or its infrastructure.
- Using the platform to harass, defraud, discriminate unlawfully, or send unlawful communications.
- Using tenant-screening or AI outputs to make decisions on prohibited grounds; screening provides recommendations only, and a person must make and record the decision.
- Misusing location tracking — you must have a lawful basis and give appropriate notice or obtain consent for tracking movable units and any individuals.
3. Fair use & security
Automated or excessive use that degrades the service for others is not permitted. Please report vulnerabilities responsibly to support@starlightgroupsa.co.za rather than exploiting them.
4. Data requests
If you wish to exercise a data-protection right (such as access, correction, deletion or portability), or to ask how we hold information, contact our Information Officer at support@starlightgroupsa.co.za. We respond within the time limits set by the privacy laws that apply to you. See also our Privacy Policy.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or report unlawful activity to the authorities. See our Terms of Service.
